Monday, 1.11: Poetry Monday!

Mondays will be Poetry Monday!
Details:

• I will give the assignment at the beginning of the hour. You will the majority of class to write a rough draft. 
• You MUST have TWO other people read your poem and make suggestions
• You will bring a final copy to class tomorrow. 

Today's poem is "I am"--a formula poem, just to get started. Below is the formula.

I am           (two special characteristics)

I wonder     (something curious about)

I hear       (an imaginary sound)

I see    (an imaginary sight)

I want       (an actual desire)

I am           (first line again)

I pretend    (something you pretend to do)

I feel  (a feeling about smtg imaginary)

I embrace  (something you embrace)

I worry       (something that bothers you)

I cry  (something that makes you sad)

I understand   (something you know is true)

I say      (something you believe in)

I dream       (something you dream about)

I try    (something you make an effort to do)

I hope       (something you hope for)
